Nosa Eke – Jury 2021
We are super excited that director Nosa Eke will be joining this years jury, selecting the Best Queer Film winner! We had the pleasure of screening Nosa’s film ‘Something in the Closet’ at last years festival.
Nosa Eke is a platform agnostic writer and director. She was chosen as a future creative leader by Google Creative Labs creative director Tea Uglow. After writing a digital narrative for mobile, Nosa was spotlighted in the Apple app store in April 2018 as one of “Britain’s Next Level Gaming Talent”. In the same year she was picked for the BFI Flare/BAFTA mentorship programme and wrote an episodic narrative on the Amazon Alexa for the BBC.
Nosa shadowed director Destiny Ekaragha on Season 2 of TheEnd Of The F***ing World and was also chosen as a 2019 Trailblazer by Accenture and TCOLondon for her work in the cross-section between technology and storytelling.
Nosa’s short film, Something In The Closet was selected for the BFI Flare Festival 2020 and the BFI London Film Festival 2019 where she was also chosen to be part of the Network@LFF programme.
She has just finished directing an episode of BBC’s ‘Still So Awkward’ and a short pilot for iplayer. Nosa was a Film London Lodestar 2020, and is currently in development on a TV series with Dark Pictures, an interactive podcast with NBCUniversal, and her debut AR feature film with the British Film Institute.
