The very first Sheffield Short Film Festival took place 30 October – 1 November 2020. Originally scheduled as a live event, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the festival was moved online.

We showcased six varied programs comprising of 42 short films for you to watch. From homegrown short films made in the North to films that explored identity and lives around the globe.

Since the conclusion of the festival, some films have been released online publicly which you can watch at any time here, along with reading interviews with the filmmakers.
